
Nicole Bennett and I write fantasy games. We’re two former academics who create setting-rich and story-heavy adventures and TTRPG supplements. Trained in literary and environmental studies, we think about adventure settings as atmospheric experiences capable of generating unique and dynamic moods and flavors. Our settings are like characters: they have histories, habits, and peculiarities. We also create unique mechanics — like sensory tables and atmospheric encounters — that allow the setting to influence the story and player characters.
